Network Engineer Job description:
A Network Engineer is responsible for the setup, configuration, running network deployments, buildouts. This includes but not limited to, hands on work in a datacenter lab environment, buildouts deployments, configuring network elements to pass traffic through the test setup, Configuring a traffic generator, troubleshooting issues with the baseline test setup, gathering test data, analyzing the test data for root causes, and building test reports, working with various stakeholders Cross functional Teams DCS team . Should be able to identify the problems and trends in the environment and advise the solutions to resolve the problems.
Basic qualifications:
2 year experience in network build out deployments
3 years experience with Datacenter Switches and Routers Arista, Cisco, Juniper
Experience with one or more Network element OS EOS, NXOS, IOS, JUNOS, SONiC
Experience with Layer 2 Protocols VLAN, Bridges, Ethernet
Previous MS experience is PLUS
Good Incident Management, Change management, network troubleshooting skills
Good to have CCNA CCNP certifications
Knowledge in Python or PowerShell scripting is an advantage
